Rita Norelli, FNP - Upcoming Maternity Leave

Dear Patients,

As many of you know, I’m expecting—and my maternity leave will officially begin on August 25, 2025, with plans to return on January 6, 2026. This is such a special and exciting time for me, my husband, and our boys as we prepare to welcome the newest little Norelli to our family!

Over the next three weeks leading up to my leave, my schedule will shift to Telemedicine-only visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. During these virtual visits, I can help manage a variety of concerns such as colds, coughs, allergies, medication check-ins, and review of lab, imaging, or test results—essentially, anything that doesn’t require an in-person physical exam (like listening to your heart or lungs, or performing a hands-on assessment).

While I’m away, you’ll be in excellent hands with any of my wonderful colleagues here at Piñon Family Practice. You’re welcome to schedule any acute visits, routine check-ups, or annual physicals with them. If you're not sure who to see, our front office team will be happy to guide you.  I’ve carefully documented all pertinent information in your medical chart to ensure continuity of care during my absence.

Portal messages, phone calls, refill requests, and other needs will continue to be handled by our team while I’m out. If something truly requires my input, my colleagues will have limited access to reach me during my leave. Please don’t hesitate to reach out— the entire Pinon team is still here for you.

In the meantime, if you'd like to check in before my leave begins, I encourage you to call the office and schedule an appointment. I’ll continue to be available for Telemedicine visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through August 22nd.
